6. Bad-smelling earwax
If there is a strong, unpleasant odor in the earwax, it may indicate a middle ear infection.
In addition to the smell, you may also hear noises or experience a buzzing in your ears from time to time. If you have these symptoms, it’s worth seeing an otolaryngologist.
7. Liquid earwax
If there has been a recent change in the consistency of earwax, it may indicate the beginning of an inflammatory process. If so, it’s worth making an appointment with a specialist.
