1. Wrap the branches in plastic bags to collect moisture
When getting lost in the wilderness, finding a fresh source of drinking water is a top priority. How long humans can survive without water depends on conditions. For reference, athletes who exercise vigorously in hot weather can become dehydrated, overheated, and die within hours.
Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to get fresh water using condensation. By wrapping a Ziploc (or any other plastic bag) around leafy branches that are exposed to the sun, you can get an unlimited supply of freshwater.
